TONS OF SPACE is a student project group of the University of the Arts Bremen. In the winter semester 17/18 we had the opportunity to plan and build a container complex on the abandoned rail bed in front of the HFK's Speicher building. This new space offers students a workspace and the possibility to realize exhibitions that are open to the public. It is a space designed and managed by students for students, which will continue to develop in the future. Under the idea of equality, it should be open to every student not only to use the space, but also to help shape it.

At the same time, this project also has the potential to create a new, architectural feature for the HFK Bremen and Überseestadt. We want to add a cultural, open place to the Überseestadt. Tons of Space is the starting project for an experimental field on the subject of temporary buildings, which will continue to grow in the future at the HfK Bremen.
There are three different concept ideas, one of which will be implemented as a prelude.

Edit: The "Container Dorf" is getting realized and there already are a few container complex modules placed in front of the HfK that frequently get used by students. https://asta.hfk-bremen.de/container/
