This work was exhibited at Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum Bremerhaven, 2018

This project arose from a cooperation with the "Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum"(DSM) and the "AG Digital Media in education"(dimeb). The goal was to show the concepts of how a ship is built and conveys concepts of modern shipbuilding to the museum visitors.
Finally, an interactive shipyard model was designed and created, which was eventually exhibited at Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum Bremerhaven in 2019. The project team decided to work with the Scrum-method and scheduled regular meetings with the other project teams.

The shipyard model was built based on info graphics from 1977. A CNC and lasercut machine brought them into the right form, the individual buildings, buttons etc. were modeled in Blender and then printed with a 3D printer. The buttons are connected to an Arduino micro controller that communicates with a Unity3D application. When pressing a button, the corresponding audio file starts explaining what‘s being built in this section and an animation, that gets projected onto the table, starts playing to visualize the corresponding concepts. The animations are played in Unity and cast onto the table with a projector from above.
